AHP 52 Week Photo Challenge ~ Week 40

On the road on Friday, driving to Poughkeepsie, I was going through my mental "to do" list.
#769: Write Blog post for the Photo Challenge.....
nooooooooooooo!!!
I'm just losing my mind! Autumn is peak wedding season, busy family portrait season and the season I go loopy! :-)

Well last week's theme, "The Last Thing you Bought" was fun!! Here's my shot of the farmers market bounty...beautiful juicing veg :-)

It may just be me but I can't find my photo on facebook for last week. When I click on the 52 week photo challenge album, I only see some of the images I've posted. This concerns me. That may mean you all can't find the image either and can't post your images in the comments boxes below mine.

I need feeback----
Can you see my image from last week?
Can you see ALL the images I've posted so far in that album?
Is the new Facebook format going to make this challenge impossible?
We may have to start something new.....Instagram?

Let me know what you think and we'll proceed. In the mean time...

The theme for the AHP 52 Week Photo Challenge is:

AHP 52 Week Photo Challenge ~ Week 39

I'm still here!!!! I know that things get busy this time of year...school starts...schedules return to normal but hang in there :-)

Keep on snapping those photos- even if you don't get them loaded to the gallery. Save them up and add them when you can! We've gone so far and have had a great turnout--keep it up!!!

Last week's theme was TIME. The photo I chose was a shot of shadows. The shadows were made by the little chairs at the library in the kid's corner. They reminded me of a sundial as they moved across the floor. I took my youngest, Ryley, to the library that day as we waited to pick up my older daughter, Sydney, from school. Ryley and I were both anxious to pick her up but it's nice to spend time with her alone. Being the second child she doesn't get much "alone" time with anyone!!

Ok folks- let's keep up the momentum!!
The AHP 52 Week Photo Challenge theme for week 39 is:

"The last thing I bought...."

Kelly and Josh's Saratoga National Wedding ~ Saratoga New York Wedding Photography

Hair Styling: Cailyn from Ambiance Hair Salon
Makeup Styling: Make Me Fabulous
Florist: Surroundings Floral Studio

This wedding had it all...
A happy couple, surrounded by loving family and friends, unsettled weather that danced perfectly with the events of the day, impeccable class, stunning details and amazing energy that kept the party going all night long!! Kelly and Josh have a spectacular wedding to file in the memory box of life that's for sure! And seriously, have you ever seen such a gorgeous couple?!?!

Saratoga National was no disappointment. On the eve of my business's 3rd birthday I had finally fulfilled one of my dreams- to photograph a wedding at Saratoga National. Very symbolic to me but even more so, very special to photograph this wedding in particular as well.

A whole lotta "full circles" going on here--try to keep up.

My mother and Kelly's mother, Lyn, have been friends since grade school. Growing up, when our parents would get together, Kelly, her brother Ryan, their cousins, my sister and I would play. I remember lots of swimming in the pool and playing basketball in the driveway!!! And snacks--that house was always loaded up with amazing treats and snacks :-)
Fast forward to 8 years ago, MY own wedding day. Kelly was my hair stylist and to this day I still hope she doesn't feel I was too much of a 'pain in the neck' bridezilla!!!

So here we are, time for Kelly and Josh's wedding and she chooses me as her wedding photographer!!!! I couldn't be more thrilled that they put trust in me to capture one of the most important days of their life. Kelly and Josh are incredible- they're an amazing, fun, loving couple, they were so easy to work with and they will have an great life together!!

So the moment you've all been waiting for--the photos!!! And oooooh let me tell you, I had a field day with this wedding. Jimmy Choos, a live band, a rainbow, fireworks, a dress like I've never seen before...yea it was like a photographers dream come true! And as always, I had my fantastic second shooter with me- Heather of Heather Eddings Photography--she never does me wrong!!!

There was a great mix between new bling and old--all fabulous!!

The handkerchief in these next shots was Kelly's great grandmother, Lilly's. Kelly wrapped it around her bouquet during the ceremony. The cufflinks were her grandfather's, Peter Donovan, worn by her father for the wedding day. And the watch, a gift from Kelly to her dad!

Surroundings Floral Studio out did themselves with the bouquets and just wait until you see their amazing centerpieces!!

The gals at Make Me Fabulous did just that--Kelly and her gorgeous girls looked stunning!!

A few doors down, the guys were hanging out-- Josh looked dapper and his mom so proud as she pinned on his boutonniere.

Off to the church!! St. Mary's in Ballston Spa is gorgeous and the ceremony was beautiful! Thanks again to Heather for grabbing some of the detail shots of the church before I arrived with the bride!!

After a few shots outside of the church we headed to Saratoga National. There was a tornado warning that day and we had our eyes on the sky!! We stuck close to the buildings because we could see the dark clouds looming and not 3 minutes after we finished up outdoors, the skies opened up and I'm not exaggerating when I say buckets...BUCKETS!!!

The dinning room was perfection- no detail forgotten!

Oscar the bulldog made it to the engagement session but had to stay home for the wedding. Good thing I snagged a photo of him for the "Oscar-tini" bar!!

First dance, parent dances, speeches--so much love, laughter and emotion!

The band, Gravity, was stellar- the dance floor was PACKED all night long! I could barely elbow my way through the crowd. And Tony Gambaro got up a few times and totally rocked it out with the band!!

I was sure this night couldn't get any better and yet it did....FIREWORKS!! The torrential rain stopped and they were still able to have fireworks at the end of the night!

A few last night time shots by the reflecting pool is was a must!!

Congratulations to Kelly and Josh!! Thank you again for including me in your amazing day and I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness together!
