Yaddo Gardens Family Session- The Carpenter Family- Saratoga Springs New York Family Photography

Heather found me on facebook after I photographed her college roommates wedding last year. She contacted me recently to do a family session with her husband and son and also told me she, herself, was a photographer. Now, photographing other photographers is kind of nerve wracking for me but it's also a huge honor and usually super fun!
This was no different!
Heather's sweet family met me at Yaddo on Sunday afternoon and we spent our time walking the grounds, talking about photography and our kids and taking some photos. Pretty tough job, right?? :-)

Take a peek!!

How freaking cute is this little guy!??? Such a sweet face and really worked it for my camera :-)

I can't resist using Yaddo's trademark garden gates when I shoot there- always a classic spot!

Thank you Heather for following my work and trusting me with your family's photos! It was a pleasure to meet you all :-)

Fawn And Lloyd's Key Hall at Proctors Wedding ~ Schenectady New York Wedding Photography

Candy Bar: The Sweet Spot

It's finally here!! The long awaited blog post for Fawn and Lloyd! Not to mention my LAST wedding blog for this year--WHAT?!?!! Yes, I'm so sad to see the 2012 wedding season fade into memories but so super excited for what's to come in 2013 :-)

What can I say about Fawn and Lloyd, but they're freaking awesome. Seriously. End of story. From the first night we met in my home office, they seemed so easy to get along with, they were super cute and wicked fun. I was excited to hear about all of the details they were including in the wedding, from the spectacular Key Hall at Proctors venue, to a killer pair of Christian Louboutin shoes, to not one but TWO wedding dresses! They both had some surprises up their sleeves as well--all which made the day a total knock out.

Can we just start with the shoes... please...pretty please?!?! That signature red sole makes my heart flutter!

While Fawn started hair and makeup in the hotel room I brought her dresses over to the Key Hall for some shots in the vault- this place is just so cool and I wanted to use it as much as I could!

Look carefully at the next shot -you see it??? They got married on October 12th :-)

Then it was back to the hotel room to get Fawn ready to go down that aisle.

While I was with the ladies, Heather was hanging with the Lloyd and the boys. It was a carefully orchestrated dance to keep them from seeing each other while photographing at the same place, but we pulled it off.
So meet Lloyd! Well hey there handsome!!  :-)

Time to tie the knot! The ceremony was short and sweet and the officiant was a good friend which made it all that much more special.

Time for some more photos--this gal got it right with the timeline!! Plenty of time for photos = happy Amy = lots of killer shots = happy couple.

The Key Hall was transformed during the cocktail hour from a ceremony site to a reception hall and it was stunning!!

During the cake cutting Fawn surprised Lloyd with an engine Groom's cake!!

They had more treats courtesy of The Sweet Spot--how awesome!?!? It was a total hit with the guests- I love a good candy bar!

A few more nighttime formals and then it was time for Fawn to make her outfit change- her second dress was so amazing!! I'm not sure which I liked better!!

Back inside the party was strong and didn't stop till the last song ended!

Fawn and Lloyd, what a freaking awesome way to end my year!! Thank you for having me capture your day- it was a pleasure and an honor. Best wishes for the future :-)
