Michelle and Armand- Engaged!

I was so excited for this shoot I can't even tell you. After one LOOOONG winter I was ready to get outside again and shoot. This was my first outdoor session since last fall and it couldn't have been better! I was also excited because I had the pleasure of working with Brittany again. She does such a great job with the styling of these shoots! I highly recommend going all out for your session and getting your hair and makeup done. It just makes for such a more polished, perfect, camera-ready look- and it's SO worth it!

So let's meet Michelle and Armand. We began at Washington Park- it was crowded to say the least, but we were able to work around the crowds. I have to say I was incredibly impressed by how well they were able to tune out all the people around them and just focus on each other.

Armand's daughter, Cayla, tagged along for the session so it was only fair that she got her moment in front of the camera as well.

We had a plan to go to the Empire State Plaza for the second half of the shoot and I'm so glad we did. I really like the idea of two different "looks" during a photo session. I prefer to start with the softer, prettier look at first while we're all getting used to each other. Then after everyone warms up, we get a little more edgy at the second location with a different look. The results...BAM--

Attitude, confidence, fierce!!!

But let's back up...we're in Albany...in public...how does a second look work, you ask?? Let me show you a little behind the scenes look at what goes on:

yup- right there in the parking lot!!
Uh-oh...here comes my competition :)

Even while getting makeup done, Michelle looked fantastic!!

The second half of the shoot was at The Empire State Plaza. These guys did a great job and the soft light was just breathtaking!

Can you see Cayla in the background?? hehe!!!

The next shot is my favorite of the entire day!!

They were so relaxed and natural and we were not short on laughs that's for sure!!

And we ended the session with a little "fun with shadows"

It was a pleasure to work with you two and I'm so looking forward to your wedding in August!!!!
