Michelle and Rob had originally planned a Sacandaga Lake Engagement session but Mother Nautre had other plans that day. I think our choice to use Yaddo was perfect. There are so many neat areas of the grounds to use and I love to just walk around discovering new opportunities for great images as well as using the great classic standbys. Take a look at these two and how they totally nailed their engagement session!! And they brought props---I love that!!

Michelle and Rob, your big day will be here before we know it!! Enjoy the next year and I'll see you guys in September :-)

Yaddo Gardens Family Session- The Carpenter Family- Saratoga Springs New York Family Photography

Heather found me on facebook after I photographed her college roommates wedding last year. She contacted me recently to do a family session with her husband and son and also told me she, herself, was a photographer. Now, photographing other photographers is kind of nerve wracking for me but it's also a huge honor and usually super fun!
This was no different!
Heather's sweet family met me at Yaddo on Sunday afternoon and we spent our time walking the grounds, talking about photography and our kids and taking some photos. Pretty tough job, right?? :-)

Take a peek!!

How freaking cute is this little guy!??? Such a sweet face and really worked it for my camera :-)

I can't resist using Yaddo's trademark garden gates when I shoot there- always a classic spot!

Thank you Heather for following my work and trusting me with your family's photos! It was a pleasure to meet you all :-)

Michele and Brandon - Engagement Photography - Saratoga New York

Michele and Brandon have been waiting ever so patiently for their engagement session!! We scheduled the first time last year and Hurricane Irene hit that day! Luckily we had plenty of time before the wedding to reschedule. We all had our hearts set on the Yaddo Gardens so we waited over 6 months to reschedule. We wanted the gardens to be blooming and beautiful. The day we ended up meeting up was perfect. The gardens at Yaddo are spectacular and the roses just breathtaking. As you walk up to Yaddo you can smell the flowers in the air- I could spend all day there!

Speaking of spending all day there, we almost did! We were on a roll and I kept shooting as long as they could keep up and there was light to play with. The end result is a huge gallery of gorgeous photos! It was hard to pick a few of my favorites, but here's a small sample.

There's still about a year before their big day but it will be here before we know it and I'm SO EXCITED!!
